This is "The Tod."  He's a cocky little fox who agrees to help Snitter and Rowlf on their journey to freedom in exchange for some of their food.

This is Snitter.  A cute little dog who escapes the animal lab with Rowlf.

This is Rowlf.  When Snitter and him escape the lab, he takes on the role of the leader.

This is Snitter having a flashback of before he was taken to the lab.  He was sent to the lab after his master's tragic death.

Here's thr trio.  Rowf, Snitter and The Tod.  Here you can see The stiches on Snitter's head because Rowf took off his cap.

Here's The Tod in the last few minutes of his life.  he was creating a distraction for the two dogs, but his plan didn't work.  Just when it seems hopeless, Tod manages to jump the fence.

After jumping the fence the Tod realises he's in trouple again.  There's a soldier on the other side who shoots him.  The Tod is dead and so now the two dogs are on their own once again.

This is the final scene of the movie.  Snitter and Rowf were forced to swim to freedom.  Here it shows them after swimming for hours and hours.  Both of them are very tired and exhausted.  Chances are, they never made it.
